Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians
Below is a list of local 'exotic' veterinarians.
Unfortunately most veterinarian practices ONLY treat cats and dogs. Even guinea pigs, other rodents, rabbits, ferrets, birds, reptiles and amphibians are considered 'exotic'.
This list was originally posted on the East End Veterinary Medical Centre website. If anyone has updates to this list, or personal experience with any of these vets, please contact RASP with updates, recommendations, warnings, or reviews of any kind (but please, no 'ads' or outright 'bashing'). RASP has not *yet* verified that this list is still current, and practices can move or change their focus, but it will be looked into. It would be great to build a this list as a resource for the 'exotic' pet keeping community here in southwestern Pennsylvania.

Dr. Mike Hutchinson @ Animal General in Cranberry is amazing. I have nothing but wonderful experiences with him. He is very knowledgeable.

I love Dr. Bennett at All-Pet. He has been caring for my iguanas for the last fifteen years. Not only is he very knowledgeable, but truly caring, as well.
Reptile and Amphibian Society of Pittsburgh (RASP) - (Lisa McCune)
Yes - I've heard *very* good things about him... and I believe they also have an office in Sarver, but I'm not sure if Dr. Bennett works from both offices or not.

Dr. Dorn is my vet of choice. The met vet on Campbell's will do basic treatment but for anything requiring cultures etc they refer to Dr. Dorn. Also I would recommend adding the Pittsburgh emergency vet specialty (pvse ) off of camp Horne road to the list. They will treat reptiles on an emergency basis.
