WELCOME TO RASP!
The Reptile and Amphibian Society of Pittsburgh is dedicated to the keeping and breeding of reptiles & amphibians in captivity (herpetoculture), conservation, field herping, and herpetology (the scientific study of reptiles & amphibians).
Mission
To provide reptile and amphibian hobbyists and the general public, a fun, interesting forum through which to enjoy our pets, learn about them, and get to know one another.
RASP focuses on:
Responsible Ownership and husbandry - caging, care, feeding, treatment and domestic breeding.
Education provided to it's members and the general public, including legislation issues and bans.
Conservation, ecology, natural history and habitat preservation.
We are a family oriented club and our membership is open to people of all ages and experience levels, throughout Pittsburgh and the surrounding communities of western Pennsylvania.
Perhaps most importantly, we aim to provide reptile and amphibian hobbyists, and those interested in becoming hobbyists, with a fun and relaxing place to talk about our passion - reptiles and amphibians!
So spread the word - please come and join RASP!
